Lot #945 1923 New York Yankee Scorecard w/Lou Gehrig (rare)
A really great piece, Lou Gehrig came up with the Yankees in 1923, their first World Championship season. Gehrig only got into thirteen games in 1923, his first game was on June 15th. For this reason, 1923 Yankee programs with Lou Gehrig are extremely rare. In fact, we could not find any public sales. The program is unscored, very lightly folded and in very solid condition, any wear is very minimal. A real piece of history, we believe this game took place in either July or September of 1923.
