One of the ultimate baseball cards, these have naturally been appreciating very rapidly in recent years. The offered 1 punches well above its weight, with note to great color, a flawless image, clean white borders and a back with no stains. The card has good eye appeal, but has the usual centering to the upper right corner. Creasing on the front keeps this at a one. The creases barely crack the paper and cannot be seen except under closer inspection of the card. If you want a nice looking Mantle RC with good color and eye appeal and do not want to completely break the bank, this is worth taking a long look at. Overall this is a very, very fine card for the grade.
