A truly museum worthy piece, offered is an absolutely stunning 18x24 print celebrating the World Champion Red Sox team. The first team to win a world series, this is titled Boston Baseball Club American League The Worlds Champions 1904-1905. This gorgeous piece is as good as an example of the work from the legendary Carl Horner as one will ever see. The size affords for a particularly dramatic presentation when seen in person. There are large images of eighteen team members. The keys are a Cy Young, HOFer Jimmy Collins, Fred Parent and John Taylor. The players are all identified by the bottom border. Due to New York Giants manager John McGraw's refusal to play an American League team in the 1904 World Series, the Red Sox were still the World Championship team and were hopeful of a repeat title did not come. The condition is very clean overall but this has been cleaned and has had some professional restoration. Extremely rare, a rough example sold publicly back in 2014 for nearly $3,000, this would be a truly awesome addition to any top Red Sox or early 20th century memorabilia collection.
